The last time What So Not played a headlining show in Denver was over a year ago at Beta Nightclub. While that show was lit by every meaning of the word, Chris Emerson has always been destined for bigger stages. Technically the stage at Red Rocks back in June was bigger, but that was in support of Chromeo. Tonight the Australian producer will get the crowd and the headlining slot he deserves when he takes the stage at The Ogden.
Many people doubted What So Not’s future after Flume departed the former duo back in early 2015, leaving Chris to carry on the What So Not name solo, but he has exceeded expectations with both his live shows and albums. Gemini EP was one of the best albums of 2015, and so far similar accolades have been given to the Divide & Conquer EP, released just days ago.
Tonight we’re sure to hear some of this new stuff as well as the classics we all know and love, like Jaguar, High You Are, Tell Me, and Gemini. We can’t wait for his unique stlye of melodic bass music to wash over us at one of our favorite venues. Grab tickets while they last cause this one’s on its way to a sell out.
