It’s been one hell of a ride for Andrew Hathaway and Matthew Berryhill, the duo (formerly trio) that make up bass music act Robotic Pirate Monkey. The group exploded onto the scene out of Boulder back in 2010, with tracks like Jolene and their Jungle Tales Vol. 1 album. They quickly made a name for themselves as a top-notch Colorado artist, in a state overflowing with talent. The rest was history.
They continued to put out consistent high-quality material up until the end (see their remix of Amp Live’s Brass Knuckles, feat. Dom Lalli of Big Gigantic). Their meticulous attention to detail and technical perfection in the studio was only matched by the raw energy and passion that they exerted on the stage, show-in and show-out. Tonight they say goodbye to the place that harbored them and to the fans that so warmly embraced them, as they play their final Colorado show, in Denver at The 1up – Colfax.
