[PREVIEW] Move it With MAKJ – Temple Grand Opening

Welcome to the second week of Temple Nightclub. After a full weekend of dancing, new friends, and good music, we eagerly await the next opportunities to get down with our bad selves. This Saturday night, Temple brings in MAKJ (aka Mackenzie Johnson) to get the party started. Coming straight from a string of shows in China, this will be MAKJ’s second show back on US turf. Maybe we will hear some tunes fresh from the Chinese EDM scene. Fun fact: this is far from Mackenzie’s first time in China. He lived in China at age 15 while training to become a professional race car driver. It was around that time that he also started DJing. Makes you feel bad to be a normal 15-year-old.

MAKJ is an accomplished DJ and producer. He studied scratching under the late DJ AM and has continued to hone his turntablelab skills; A talent sets him apart from so many other touring DJ’s. Festivals from Electric Zoo to Coachella have put MAKJ on their stage. Fans from across the world continue to support his music, generating millions of plays on SoundCloud. Some of my personal favorites are On & On, Knock Me Down, and his Shape Of You Remix for Ed Sheehan. If you haven’t heard MAKJ’s music yet, give it a listen and show some support by coming out to the show!
