[PREVIEW] Denver Braces for Stunning Live Set from Desert Dwellers, Kalya Scintilla

by Brandon Lopez
I was blessed to see the Desert Dwellers for the first time last May at Lightning In a Bottle. Ever since, I have been dreaming of watching Amani Friend and Treavor Moontribe perform again. Where do I even begin to describe the amazing experience that Desert Dwellers provides? When you think of electronic dance music you usually think of a DJ or a bumping beat…this just barely begins to describe a Desert Dwellers show.
A Desert dwellers live performance is a jaw-dropping experience that everyone should go and see at some point in their life. The theatrics are as mesmerizing as the music, and the stage production is something out of Electronic Dance Music Heaven. Rumor has it the butterfly stage they are bringing to Denver is absolutely stunning. If you enjoy watching acrobatics like rope dancing, flow toys and fire, then this is the show for you. If you enjoy soothing beats which blur the line between dance music and ethereal music then this is a must-see show.
Don’t miss out on your chance to see the Desert Dwellers live performance this Saturday, January 7th, at the Ogden Theatre in Denver. After watching the Desert Dwellers put on a breathtaking performance at Lightning In a Bottle there’s no doubt that this performance will be just as good, if not better. Not to be overshadowed, Kalya Scintilla, another Colorado favorite will be main support. Kalya headlines his fair share of shows and puts on an equally mesmerizing performance, complete with live performance art from dancer/acrobat/actor Eve Olution. If cookie cutter DJ sets don’t cut it for you, you need to try the original music of Desert Dwellers along with the exotic dancing and flow toys. We hope to see you at the Ogden for an out of body experience that shouldn’t be missed!
