House and techno is in high demand this week, with these five events you should have on your calendar!

5. Pig (of Pig & Dan) at Beta Nightclub (Sunday)

1/2 of the long-time globally-known techno duo Pig & Dan arrives in Denver for a proper Proper Sundays.

4. Mira at Bar Standard Rooftop (Saturday afternoon)

Three words: Rooftop. Sunset. House music. I’m not very good at counting. Which is good, cause I won’t know how many stairs my fat ass will have climbed by the time I finally make it up to the Bar Standard rooftop. What I do know is that it will be worth every painful step. I need a tequila just thinking about it.

3. Feed Me at Beta Nightclub (Thursday)

Feed Me was one of the first artists on mau5trap, which is a record label started by some hotshot Canadian producer, who you’d think was some American asshole judging by the size of his ego, not a friendly Canuck. But I digress. His recent work, namely the Existential Crisis EP, Family Reunion EP, and his remix of deadmau5’s ‘Strobe’ has been just as good as the early stuff that made him famous at the forefront of the EDM boom. But perhaps more importantly, he retweeted a picture of my Feed Me jack-o-lantern last Halloween, after I called him out for not originally doing so even though he shared some other shitty one.

2. Die Antwoord at Red Rocks (Sunday)

Yes, you read that right…the one and only Die Antwoord. The legendary South African duo that plays some sort of weird concoction of hip hop, rap, and EDM, will be headlining the equally legendary Red Rocks for their Love Drug tour. It seems there have been a number of once in a lifetime shows at RR this summer, and this is certainly another one of them.

1. Damian Lazarus Warehouse Party (TBA) (Saturday)

What can we say? The Afterhours Anonymous & Mahesh Presents late-night warehouse parties are always a guaranteed heady time. Lazarus, a crucial tastemaker and icon in the techno & house world, has played at Denver clubs and on patios, but it’s been over ten years since playing a warehouse party in the Mile High. Sounds like a reason to stamp it, seal it, and send it my friends.
