List’n Up: Top 5 Sets of Ultra 2017

While unfortunately we didn’t make it to Miami this year for what could be considered the first and possibly biggest festival of the summer, we were able to catch some of our favorite DJ’s Ultra sets on the internet. Since the closing night, a few weekends ago Soundcloud and Youtube have been flooded with the recordings captured at the incredible event and we want to count down our top 5 favorites for you.

5. Team EZY

Coming in at #5 is one of the latest producer/Dj’s making a name for himself on the OWSLA label, Team EZY. This young LA artist opened performed what we can only call a key staple set combining all the festival bangers like I Can’t Stop, Core, and Tell Me with a touch of his own style spinning in Danny Brown vocals, perfect transitions, and a handful of new IDs here and there. Be sure to check out this set below and be on the look out for big things to come from Team EZY.

4. DJ Snake

Now before you exit off our website for this choice hear us out. While DJ Snake, often producing generic trap beats, may not be the most loved DJ in Colorado, and we aren’t sure if we have forgiven him for Turn Down For What, this set was something special! This was not only the closing set of all of Ultra but it featured guest appearances by the likes Moski, Kayzo, Lil Jon (doing TDFW) and Future. I can only imagine what one of the biggest rappers alive thought of Ultra, but if we start seeing lasers at his upcoming shows we know where he got the idea. Check it our below:

3. Mercer

Sorry Tchami but you’ve been replaced. Taking bronze in our ranking is the rising house star who graced Denver just a few months ago, Mercer. The Parisian DJ is fast eclipsing his bigger brothers in electronic music, like Tchami, and is rising to the top faster than we can keep up. His set was a perfect blend of all sorts of house (deep, bass, tech) and we think if he keeps spinning like this he will be one of the biggest names in EDM real soon!

2. Rezz

Ever since her discovery by Deadmau5 and her signing to Mau5trap, the young producer/DJ named Rezz has been making waves in the dark electro world. Her meteoric rise to stardom saw her bring her underground music to the World Wide Stage for the first time and wow did she kill it. Be sure to take a listen to her full set below:

1. OWSLA All-Star Set

We are really suckers for OWSLA here at ELCO but the talent this Skrillex backed label brought to Miami was just stupid. Featuring the combined talent of DJ Sliink, Ghastly, JAUZ, Mija, and Joyryde, this set brought out the heavy hitters on the OWSLA label for a ridiculous set that will be hard to beat anytime soon. There really isn’t much to say about this set as the music speaks for itself so check it out below and let us know what you think of our list.
