In just a mere week Gary Richards, the man behind HARD events and the dj behind Destructo will return to Beta Nightclub in downtown Denver for what promises to be yet another high-octane night of hard hitting, bass-laced house beats. The Renegade fall tour is coming to town. September 15th is the date, Future Thursdays is the party.
No stranger to the Denver dance music scene, Destructo has a firm foothold here in the Mile High City, where he stops at least twice a year and every single time it’s a packed house. Whether you’ve seen him playing Red Rocks as part of the HARD Red Rocks lineup, or you’ve caught a Ship2Ship Tour stop at Beta which has become an annual pineapple-laden fiesta, you know just how fun these heaters are.
In a scene where the word “eclecticism” is too often overlooked, Destructo does an excellent job of pleasing all comers with a nice balance of groovy panty-dropping house and heavy bass-dropping…well, bass. His latest album, West Coast EP, was a great example of that balance, with highly-acclaimed tracks like Party Up and Dare You to Move offering up a healthy serving of both bass and groove with a signature G-House sound.
A man with friends in high places, it should come as no surprise that he’s bringing along some notable names with him yet again. Dutch bass producer Ganz, who recently had a massive collab with What So Not, will be supporting as well as Dateless, and iLoveMakonnen. Yes, the iLoveMakonnen who likes to take the club up on a Tuesday. Next week, however, it will be a Thursday that the club will be goin’ up on, and you can count on that.
