GlobalDub: Bass Returns To Red Rocks

Screen Shot 2016-05-11 at 12.48.39 PMThis upcoming weekend sees the return of the yearly Global Dub Festival to Red Rocks Amphitheater in Denver, CO. This event has hosted some of the biggest names in bass music but the 2016 lineup sees an all new high in talent being brought to the famous mountain venue.

While the headliners of the shows are usually the most hyped and anticipated sets of the night for many Red Rocks shows, for me it is the very first set that will be the highlight of the show. Circus Records, the UK heavy hitting bass label started by Flux Pavilion and Doctor P, are bringing one of the biggest collaboration to the event. We are all used to back to back shows, but Circus is setting the bar one step higher with a B2B2B featuring the insane Funtcase, Cookie Monsta and Doctor P himself. All three of these artists would be amazing openers by themselves for the night however throw them all together and we are in for some true insanity. Be sure to get to the venue early to witness these three’s take over as its sure to be a set CO will never forget.

Next to hit the stage is up and coming artists Ghastly who has absolutely swept the electronic music scene this past year, taking over everything from  the mainstage at festivals like HARD to the famous DoLab at Coachella. The OWSLA signed young gun makes his Red Rocks debut during this years Global Dub and we are so excited to hear his signature sound echo off the walls. Be sure to check out one of his biggest hits “Crank It” below feat. Mija and catch his take over this Saturday.

Now after Ghastly controls the stage the allstars start arriving as Slander, Bro Safari, and lastly Datsik all are set to wrap the show up. None of these artists really need an introduction but we will sum up their styles quickly. Slander is the fast rising mega stars who are credited with the creation of the vastly popular “heaven trap” genre in which hardcore beats are combined with melodic sounds that create a truly wonderful sound. On the other end of the spectrum Bro Safari and Datsik are known for their wild style of rawkus dubstep anthems and insane rowdiness. The Firepower Label owner Datsik brought down a small piece of The Ogdens roof last time he made an appearance at the legendary CO venue while Bro Safari took The 1st Bank Center over during his set at Safe In Sound Festival and along side his MC threw one of the wildest sets I’ve ever witnessed creating a party atmosphere within seconds of stepping on the stage. These artists will bring the unique sounds to Red Rocks this Saturday and we are sure they will truly light the crowd and venue up. You can check out our playlist of their biggest hits below and we hope to catch you at what may be the wildest show Red Rocks has ever seen.
