EOTO Returns to the Mishawaka this Saturday

by E.P Pirt, Jr.

Red Rocks may get the lion’s share of attention when it comes to outdoor venues in Colorado, but if you’ve ever been to the Mishawaka, just outside of Ft. Collins up the Poudre River Cañon, then you know Red Rocks isn’t the only special outdoor amphitheater here. Far more intimate, the Mish capacity is only less than a thousand, but that doesn’t stop it from bringing in world class talent year in and out.

This Saturday’s headliner is none other than one of Colorado’s favorite duos, EOTO. No stranger to where they now call home, these two have been touring the country for years, both as EOTO and with their former band, String Cheese Incident, but have always show a certain special appreciation for us here. Comprised of members Jason Hann and Michael Travis, the live and improvised electronic duo typically play a couple of shows a year here, including many epic performances at Sonic Bloom. They also have side projects and regularly jam with other artists in the area.

The opening duties this Saturday belong to two more area favorites, in Unlimited Gravity and ProJect Aspect. Ronnie Weberg and Jay Jaramillo have both been killing it lately, in the studio and on tour, both on their own and as the duo Unlimited Aspect. They were even both just mentioned as top 10 Colorado DJs by Westword. These guys keep it original and bring the bass, and are a perfect fit for opening up the night.

Two things are for sure…the Mish’ is like no place on Earth and you will never hear the same EOTO set more than once. What you get when you combine these two things is a night that promises to be a truly special one, and one that we encourage you to come out for. Tickets are still available, so grab them now while they last.
