One of Colorado’s most prestigious electronic acts, Big Gigantic, kick off the third year in a row of the Red Rocks show that they’ve coined Rowdytown tonight. Big Gigantic, out of Boulder, have become one of the scene’s most popular acts, not just in Colorado, but in all of the US. Their festival and touring resume is stellar, and their live sets (complete with real instruments!) have garnered much praise. Two years ago the duo headlined their first Red Rocks show, and were the first to use projection mapping on the rocks. The inaugural Rowdytown was an overwhelming sold out success, followed up by an even more impressive second year.
This year they’re back for a two night run, starting tonight. Tonight’s show, with Savoy, DVBBS, The Floozies, and Trippy Turtle is sold out, but tickets are still available for tomorrow night, with The New Deal, Caked Up, HeRobust, and Trippy Turtle. Big G put on a high-energy, soulful set no matter what the venue, but they certainly seem right at home and in their element at Red Rocks. We highly recommend jumping on tickets if you haven’t already, and check out some of the links below to get excited for what’s sure to be a great way to round out Red Rocks season.
