Bassnectar, STS9, and GRiZ Highlight 5th Annual Euphoria Music Festival

by E.P Pirt, Jr.

It’s almost March, which means festival season is knocking at our door. I know you’re as eager to answer that knock as I am, so I want to talk to you about one of our favorites. Knowing almost nothing about Euphoria Music Festival last year, I hopped on a BusToShow anyways, and made the long, scenic journey from Denver down to Austin, TX. Having also never been to Texas, I was pleasantly surprised when I finally made it past the gates and into the beautifully lush and serene atmosphere, perfectly nestled up on the banks of the Colorado River. Carson Creek Ranch is home to Euphoria, located on the outskirts of Austin. Thinking “surely nothing in Texas can be much to look at“, I had to admit that the location for Euphoria was one of the best festival grounds I’ve stumbled upon. It’s far enough away from the main hustle and bustle of Austin to get in touch with your inner tree-hugger, but also close enough to make a quick trip into the charming, vibrant, and cultural epicenter that Austin is, if you so choose.

“Euphoria has established itself as the perfect medium…an event with the intimate vibe of a small festival, but with the lineup diversity and headliner prowess of its larger counterparts.”

But in all honesty, the only time I did check Austin out was on our way back to Denver. Once I was within the embracing confines of Euphoria, I had no desire to leave. Despite some seriously wet and electrical conditions to begin and close out the festival, it was an unforgettable experience from start to end. With a lineup that most people would agree is even better than last year’s, Euphoria 2016 is only looking to be even more memorable. Big names like Bassnectar, STS9, and GRiZ, will certainly appeal to the Colorado masses, but that’s only the tip of the iceberg. Euphoria has established itself as the perfect medium…an event with the intimate vibe of a small festival, but with the lineup diversity and headliner prowess of its larger counterparts. So what happens when you take that intimate vibe, replace the snobby and repetitive lineup with a diverse, yet electronic-focused one, and charge half the price of what that lineup would normally go for? You enter a state of euphoria, that’s what!

So if you’re thinking about dropping $250, $350, or even more on a festival in the coming months, think about this…for only $139 you can see not only Bassnectar, STS9, and GRiZ, but also names like The Polish Ambassador, Cherub, Break Science, Lettuce, The Motet, Above & Beyond, Eric Prydz, Dillon Francis, Tycho, Crizzly, Klingande, LOUPVCK, Lil Dicky, Autograf, Branchez, G Jones, Goldfish, Jai Wolf, SNBRN, Wave Racer, Bass Physics, Twiddle, Marvel Years, and many, many more. So put that extra $200 towards something more useful, like camping supplies, libations, food…your kids college education…whatever suits your fancy.

With 2016 being its fifth year, Euphoria is still considered an exciting and new festival, but it now has the experience under its belt to know what it takes to provide its fans with an affordably unforgettable weekend. Instead of just worrying about what will make them the most money, they make a genuine effort to interact with and listen to their fans in order to provide them with the best experience possible, which is something a lot of festivals seem to have lost sight of. They are constantly running awesome fan contests and giving them creative ways to get involved, win tickets, and more. Speaking of winning tickets, be on the lookout for an exclusive ELCO ticket giveaway to Euphoria in the near future. That being said, we don’t suggest waiting, as ticket prices will continue to go up. Besides, if you buy tickets and then you do win a pair, you can always gift them or sell your original ones!

So we hope you’ll seriously consider joining us at picturesque Carson Creek Ranch, April 7-10th for what promises to be an amazing weekend. Continue to check back with Electronic Colorado and all of our social outlets, for frequent Euphoria updates, news, and more. And be sure to use our ticket links, or enter promo code ELCO, to ensure you get the best deal possible! See you in Texas! See you in Texas!
