Win TONS of Tickets at Our First Charity Event of 2019!

If you attended any Red Rocks shows in 2018, there’s a decent chance you caught glimpse of our crew posted up at the base of the Upper South entrance. Maybe you even stopped by and made a donation at our booth. We were there for a total of 12 events, accepting food and other donations on behalf of Denver’s Metro Caring, school supplies, winter clothes, and we also hosted a fundraiser for a friend who was the victim of a nearly-deadly assault. We followed up the Red Rocks season with a big coat drive outside the Fillmore in November, for RÜFÜS DU SOL’s two-night Denver run.

ELCO Coat Drive at RÜFÜS DU SOL on Nov. 10th, 2018

All in all, our inaugural year for these charity campaigns was a success. So much so that Red Rocks offered to have us back in 2019 and Denver Westword even did a piece about it! Yes, 2018 was a great year, but it was only the beginning. We have big plans for 2019, including working with a plethora of nonprofits, giving away prizes for LOTS of shows including plenty that aren’t at Red Rocks, and hosting pop up drives at locations that aren’t music venues.

Our first of these pop ups is happening on March 21st, at Factotum Brewhouse. They will be graciously hosting us there from 5-9pm. We will have a table set up, just like with our past events, where we will be accepting donations on behalf of Casa de Paz. They are an organization here in Denver that hosts and provides services to families that have been separated because of immigrant detention. They’ve been featured on Telemundo as well as Fox Denver and last year on his national tour, David Byrne selected Casa de Paz as the nonprofit to work with for his Red Rocks show (something he did for each stop along his tour).

In addition to monetary donations, Casa de Paz also happily accepts new or gently used adult backpacks, individual-sized snacks, and King Soopers gift cards. The gift cards are given to out-of-town families who stay in their home while they’re visiting detained loved ones. Once they leave to return home, they’re given a gift card so that they can fill up their gas tank.

Below, there’s a breakdown of what each of these donation items is worth in our raffle, as well as a list of all of the prizes that we’re giving away. The more you donate, the better your chances of winning. When you donate, you will be given the option to put down which prize(s) you prefer, however there is no guarantee that if you win, that prize will still be available. We will notify winners for each prize approximately one week before the date of the concert.

In addition to 100% of these donations going to Casa de Paz, another 20% of beer sales from 5-9 will be divided between Casa de Paz and Electronic Colorado. For ELCO, that money will be used to help fund future charity drives by purchasing materials, covering transportation and labor costs, and paying for advertising to help get the word out about more events. So if you’re 21+, we encourage you to stick around and have a beer or two. After all, it’s for a good cause.
