We’re less than two months out from the amazing annual party that is Sonic Bloom, and what’s a great party without a pre party or two? The Unified Field Pre-Parties for SB will be taking place this weekend, starting tonight at the Aggie Theatre in Ft. Collins, and moving down to Denver’s Cervantes on Friday & Saturday. The Aggie event will be headlined by Colorado favorite Phutureprimitive, who will be following performances from Whitebear, Techno Shaman, & Miss Jaedha. The Denver events will also feature Phutureprimitive and Whitebear, along with Giraffage, Louis The Child, Blockhead, The Funk Hunters, Clozee, Filibusta, Mikey Thunder, & more. Tonight’s tickets can be purchased HERE, while Friday’s can be found HERE, and Saturday’s HERE. Two day Denver passes are also available HERE. Come on out this weekend and see what The Unified Field is all about, and while we’re on the subject allow us to say a few more words about the festival itself…
There’s nothing that quite captures the essence of a Colorado summer better than a weekend at Sonic Bloom. Embarking on its 11th year, Sonic Bloom has blossomed over time to become the transformational festival that it is known to be today. Hosting a wide variety of musicians, live performers, visual artists, yogis, painters, workshops and speakers, Sonic Bloom focuses on the unification of art and soul. Held during the Summer Solstice, it’s impossible not to feel the magic of Bloom. This year’s music lineup is packed with talent such as Tipper, Bonobo, Opiuo, FKJ, Mark Farina, Break Science, Michal Menert, EOTO, Nightmares On Wax, Justin Martin, and so many more.
For the second year in a row, the festival will be taking place at the appropriately named Hummingbird Ranch in Spanish Peaks country, just a short drive south down I25 from Pueblo. Many Bloom regulars have said that this location is the best one yet. SB’s founder, Jamie Janover, has verbally expressed his desire to build and maintain a lasting, healthy relationship with Hummingbird Ranch. If you attended last year, you surely understand why.
But Sonic Bloom is much more than a festival; they hold themselves and their participants to high standards. By utilizing solar and wind power, Sonic Bloom succeeded in offsetting 100% of the electricity used last year and intends to eliminate fossil fuel use this year. They continue to set a beautiful and fun example for how responsible production is possible. More than just music, Sonic Bloom is a uniquely unifying experience that helps people dance, learn, grow, and connect with each other, the earth, and themselves. So whether you’re a ten year Bloom vet or have yet to have the pleasure, we hope you’ll join us for yet another remarkable year. Be on the lookout for an upcoming ticket giveaway hosted by ELCO, but with that being said, last year’s event was a complete sell out and tickets are moving even faster this year, so we recommend jumping on them sooner than later.
