Sander Van Doorn – Main Room (Friday 4/6)
Sander Van Doorn has established himself as one of the most influential artists in modern dance music. He began his career with nothing more than a Rolland Groovebox 303 borrowed from his brother. This sparked his interest in the potential of electronic music that evolved to his passion for the genre today. Over the span of his career, Doorn has released 3 albums, Supernaturalistic in 2008, Eleve11 in 2011, and SPECTRVM in 2017 under his tough-techno alias Purple Haze. You can find him headling clubs and festivals around the world, so get ready for a special show.
Bot – LVL (Friday 4/6)
“Bot is of the future. Half man, half-machine; fully Italian. Exiled in West London, locked in the studio since departing legendary duo Crookers, Bot (his creators named him Andrea Fratangelo) has disassembled any expectations and rebuilt his sound for 2018.” Alongside Astronomar and Neoteric, Bot runs the house hungry label Main Course. Just a few months ago Bot & Sage Armstrong teamed up to release a bangin new project called SAWCE DRIP. Expect LVL to fill up with the sounds with futuristic techno and unorthodox club rhythms, welded with hip-hop influences and a nod to the sounds and spirit of the classic house.
Saint Clair – Main Room (Saturday 4/7)
Saint Clair’s musical journey began in her home country of Australia, at a time when female DJs were virtually unheard of. Demonstrating innate technical abilities from the moment she touched a turntable, she was quickly able to climb the ranks and become a fixture on the Australian club & festival circuit. Come say your prayers to Saint Clair this Saturday in the Main Room at Temple.
I’m taking the next two weeks off for a couple of reasons but one of them is to finish a lot of new music I’ve started…
Vindata + Electric Mantis – LVL (Saturday 4/7)
Another killer lineup for Temple’s second room, LVL. Vindata is the OWSLA signed duo of Branden Ratcliff and Jared Poythress. Blending rugged hip-hop beats with deep r&b passions, and indie-pop sensibilities; the pair are on a mission to expand how we define dance music. Collaborators include names like Mr. Carmack, Skrillex, Mija, and most recently a collaboration with Electric Mantis called You Can Stay. Electric Mantis is Portland based Alaskan producer just trying to make something meaningful. Come make a meaningful memory dancing with your friends this Saturday at LVL.
