[PREVIEW] What’s Going on at Temple This Weekend? (1/26 & 1/27)

NuKid in LVL (Friday 1/26)

Kicking off the weekend in style is the G-House aficionado NuKid. Based in Los Angeles, NuKid is currently embarked on an international tour dubbed the “Back To Basics” tour, playing shows from Vietnam to British Columbia. The G-House style couples house rhythms with hip-hop vocals and deep moving basslines. He has been seen on an official remix of Kai Wachi‘s Demons and collaborated with artists like Dr. Fresch, who recently featured NuKid as a guest on his mix series, The Prescription. Come on down Friday night to do a little bit of that gangsta boogie.

Hook N Sling at Temple (Saturday 1/27)

All the way from Australia, Hook N Sling is yet another Aussie producer/DJ who has been making waves across the globe. He has earned multiple platinum records for songs like Love On Me with Galantis or Open Your Eyes with Sam Feldt. His tour schedule over 2017 was insane, headlining clubs and festivals all across the world. Known well for his remixes, Anthony has remixed some of the biggest names in the game – such as Lana Del Rey, Calvin Harris, The Chainsmokers & Kaskade, not to mention collaborations with A-list artists like Sia, Example, Axwell and Jason Derulo. Saturday night is bound to be a special one!

Geotheory in LVL (Saturday 1/27)

Just a floor above Hook N Sling, the extraterrestrial storyteller Geotheory will be laying down some serious beats. Joesph first started experimenting with software like Mixcraft and Virtual DJ at the tender age of 10. By 16 he was releasing his own music and beginning to build out a dedicated fan base. His sound is distinct, drawing from genres like house, garage, hip-hop, R&B and beyond. Speaking on his accomplishments, Geotheory says:

“I think it’s pretty cool,  yet humbling to see my name next to so many achievements and big names.” he claims. “But in person, even at shows, it’s hard for me to process when people tell me how much their music means to them. It’s a big pill to swallow when your music touches so many people’s lives. I feel like I’m playing a role almost.”

If you slept on Geotheory this year, its time to wake up.
