[PREVIEW] A Month at the Temple: Bingo Players & Julian Jordan

It has been nearly a month since Temple Denver has had its first session, and they are still just getting started. Four a wild weekend #4, we are looking at performances by Bingo Players on Friday night and Julian Jordan on Saturday night.

Bingo Players began in 2006 as the Dutch duo of Maarten Hoogstraten & Paul Bäumer. They spent many years consistently pumping out music and honing their skills as producers and DJ’s. It wasn’t until around 2011 when their career started to take off, thanks to a little tune called ‘Cry (Just A Little) and subsequently, ‘Rattle’. From there, they began to play major festivals across the world and become a friendly face on the music charts. Tragically, Paul was diagnosed with cancer 2013 and passed away the same year. While Bingo Players has never been the same, Maarten has continued to carry on the legacy, touring and releasing music under their name. They also formed their own label, Hysteria Records, releasing music for artists like Henry Fong and MAKJ (recently at Temple).

Julian Jordan is also a Dutch DJ, but has traveled down a vastly different path than the Bingo Players. At only 22, he has already gone through a career that most DJ’s envy, playing stages form EDC to Tomorroworld. His music is poured full with emotion and authenticity, staying outside of the box with his productions. Just this week he released a heartfelt collaboration with TYMEN called ‘Light My Fire‘. He has also launched his own label, GOLDKID Records. Stay golden, Julian.

Julian has been hinting at an evolved form of his live set known as Play On. He has this to say on the subject:

I’m really proud of my own upcoming Play On concept as well. With Play On I want to create a bigger picture than only DJing. I want everything I do to be part of Play On style. My social media, productions, fashion, designs, parties… but I’ll reveal more about that soon…

Julian is playing a Temple doubleheader, first on Friday night in San Fransico and again in Denver on Saturday night. Let’s show him what Temple Denver is made of.
