List’n Up: 5 Shows to See This Weekend (April 13 – April 15)

Don’t know what to do this weekend? Get off your ass and dance! Here are this weekend’s top shows in our List’n Up segment that you won’t want to miss.

This week’s list curated by Hunter Saillen

5. Quix at Club Vinyl (Thursday)

Hailing from New Zealand, Quix has been making waves in the bass music scene. Song after song Quix produces trap bangers with a distinct flair known to make booties shake. While Quix is not the typical act you might find at Club Vinyl, I highly recommend making it out to this show to see if Quix stays with his signature style or puts down a “housier” set.

4. Ganja White Night at the Bluebird (Wednesday & Thursday)

This Belgian duo are steadily on the rise. Don’t believe me? They managed to sell out their first show at the Bluebird Theater on 4/12, add a second show on the 13th which has sold out, and even third show added on 4/11 at the Larimer Lounge which, you guessed it, sold out (and was bonkers). Ganja White Night play a very unique live dubstep set, playing in melodies on the keyboard, twisting filters and LFO’s, and seamlessly shifting from song to song. Consider yourself lucky if you snagged tickets…

3. Bear Grillz at the Ogden Theatre (Friday)

The Colorado local Dubstep DJ/Prodcuer Bear Grillz is coming back home to headline the Ogden Theatre with Terravita, P0gman and Wooli. Known for signature bear mask and insanely heavy sets, I’d be suprised if you didn’t leave the venue with a sore neck. Find out for yourself this Friday.

2. Manic Focus at the Boulder Theater (Friday)

Manic Focus has been long at work on his new album, Minds Rising. This Friday, he will be busting it out at the Boulder Theater with an album release party accompanied by friends Bass Physics, Chris Karns and Blunt Force. I wouldn’t be surprised if he happened to bring out some very special guests as well. If you haven’t figured out your Friday night yet, this show is guaranteed to please.
