List’n Up: 5 Shows to See This Week (March 20-27)

Last week was a pretty epic one for electronic music around the Mile High. While this week doesn’t have as many big name headliners as last week, the raw talent is all there. Have fun out there.

5. James Zabiela – Sunday at Beta Nightclub

Afterhous Anonymous & Beta Nightclubs’ Proper Sundays were a close runner-up to Sub.mission’s Electronic Tuesdays as ‘Best Weekly Night’ in our 2016 polls. Couple that with Zabiela’s masterful technical skills behind the decks and you’ve got yourself a top 5 spot.

4. Bear Grillz – Thursday at Belly Up, Aspen

It seems like Bear Grillz has been playing somewhere in Colorado every other week this year. I guess that means you guys must like him. Catch everyone’s favorite bear DJ in his natural environment up in the mountains.

3. Bingo Players – Thursday at Beta Nightclub

Ahhh good ol’ Bingo Players. At one point one of EDM’s most beloved electro house duos, Maarten Hoogstraten has carried on the torch since the tragic passing of bandmate Paul Bäumer. These high-energy sets are always a good time.

2. Way Out West (Live) – Saturday at Club Vinyl

Anjunadeep’s Jody Wisternoff and Hope Recording’s Nick Warren comprise the electronica duo Way Out West. These guys are no stranger to the scene, having began collaborations in 1994. We can’t wait to see what the live show is all about.

1. Freddy Todd & Jade Cicada – Friday at The Black Box

A co-headline show grabs our top spot for the second week in a row. Freddy Todd and Jade Cicada bring different twists on bass music to The Black Box, with Todd’s slightly more funky brand compared to Cicada’s slightly darker style. We expect another sell out for this one.
