Alan Sumler, aka DJ 9, has been a supporting DJ for our last two Ignition Thursdays parties at The Black Box, and will also be playing this Thursday, March 1st, when he opens up for Deadcrow, along with Supermassive and TF Marz. The last event, which took place on February 1st, was a special theme that we like to call Homage. It was a tribute to the “evolution of house music”, where three different artists took us on a journey of house music, starting with its roots and leading all the way up to present day. Sumler got the night started by playing mostly 90s tracks, although he did dip all the way back to the 80s and even 70s with a few selections. If you’re a fan of bass music, we’re planning to return to this them on April 5th, only we will be paying homage to bass music this time around.
If you missed his last tasteful set, don’t fret (that rhymed). He just released an old school 90s mix that’s very similar to the one that he played at The Black Box earlier this month. Give it a listen and get ready to embrace those 90s feels all over again.
Catch DJ 9 this Thursday, March 1st, when he opens up for Deadcrow (Terrorhythm Recordings / Holland) as part of his very first US tour.
