Denver’s own Aaron Bordas is the first artist to be featured on The LOLO Knows Radio Network, who’s new Hometown Heroes series will highlight local artists nationwide with supporting talent from artist collectives including TheHundred, Rvdiovctive, Space Yacht, RealMusic Events and more.
As one of the most sought-after local DJs in the Denver scene an Electronic Colorado’s 2016 DJ of the Year, we couldn’t agree more with the selection of Aaron. Give the mix a listen and let us know what you think.

About LOLO Knows:
The LOLO Knows Radio Network began as a talk radio program in 2013. LOLO believes in the transformational power of music to bring people together, which inspired her to expand her platform to showcase the healing power of music and dance. Several years later, LOLO added Ricky Spanish to the team, to serve as Resident Producer, Audio Engineer and DJ.
In 2018, Network Creator, Producer and Host, LOLO acquired “Downtown” Kay Brown, as talent acquisition and marketing consultant, for the Friday Night Mix with LO show. Kay’s networking skills have allowed the show to tap into a variety of markets. Kay’s commitment to chase up-and-coming talent is demonstrated through her ability to create artist relationships weekly. Kay has a roster of talent spanning across the US, as well as international talent from The United Kingdom, Brazil, and Canada; with additional guests from several other nations booked for dates in 2019.
The Hometown Heroes series is a passion project for Kay Brown, as she leads the creative production on the new launch. Late 2018, marked the addition of videographer Erica Burgess, of Saint Eris Videos, to the LOLO Knows team. The Hometown Heroes project launch marks a beginning of the involvement of Pete Quest, DJ, Producer and Graphic Designer based in Chicago, IL.
Creative Producer Kay Brown shared the following on why the series was created: “I travel a lot for music, and there are so many incredible people all over the country making waves in their local cities. I felt it was necessary for me to do something to highlight the people changing the scenes around them. So many of these artists are uniting people with the stories they tell through the sets they curate. The groups selected for the series are all unique in their vision and approach. Hometown Heroes felt like a natural program to add to our network. It’s been such a privilege to witness the growth and influence of both the artists and the artist collectives, and now I have the opportunity to share that with our listeners. People will get to share a little piece of what makes me feel at home, no matter the city I’m in, and I think that connection is really special. Our listeners should know what events to attend in these cities for that kind of experience.”
